STAMM 30® uses proteinaceous trace elements (copper, zinc, manganese) to increase their bioavailability; they are necessary for proper musculoskeletal development and maintenance of the horse. At least one-third of the copper, zinc, and manganese are provided in a bioavailable, proteinaceous form known as bioplex. Bioplexes are inorganic minerals chemically bound to a protein to improve its absorption and availability so as to prevent interference and combinations with other minerals. Because they are recognized digestively as proteins, they use the same absorption pathways as different amino acids.
A specially designed yeast culture has been incorporated within STAMM 30® to increase microbial activity. This patented yeast source provides extremely high levels of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which promotes more efficient digestion of fiber and maintains a favorable count of digestion-related bacteria in the posterior gut. It also encourages increased absorption of significant minerals (copper, phosphorus, and zinc) and improves protein utilization.
STAMM 30® also contains natural vitamin E. Current research shows that natural vitamin E is 2-3 times more potent than a synthetic source. Because horses have greater needs during the breeding season, mares, stallions and young foals can benefit from incorporating natural vitamin E into this product.
BMC® (Buffered Mineral Complex) is a natural mineral source rich in bioavailable minerals including calcium, magnesium, boron, silicon, iodine, zinc and manganese. BMC® is used in all Breeding Range specialty feeds (and beyond) following extensive research conducted by Kentucky Equine Research (KER) on the positive effects on digestive health and bone development.
