Low-starch feed suitable for individuals prone to gastric ulcers
Veterinarians recommend feeds for horses that require low-starch diets. Alfalfa-free, low starch, Re-Leve Cubes is a high energy concentrate feed suitable for horses and ponies prone to equine gastric ulcer syndrome (EGUS). It can be administered wet to supplement liquids and make the mixture more palatable.

The formulation of RE-LEVE CUBES is based on intensive research by Dr. Stephanie Valberg, University of Minnesota, and Kentucky Equine Research(KER) – Huntington PJ, Duren S, Valberg S, 2000. This feed is designed to provide the athlete horse with the energy levels required for performance and to maintain physical condition, using a high variety of alternative energy sources to grain. Studies cited above have shown that horses predisposed to tying-up fed a diet with good levels of oils and fats but low shares of starches and grains are less affected by post-activity issues such as muscle injury.

Re-Leve Cubes is suitable for:
- Optimal muscle health – Studies conducted by Kentucky Equine Research in collaboration with Dr. Stephanie Valberg have shown a higher risk of muscle damage in horses receiving a high-starch diet. A diet consisting of Re-Leve® plus 0.5-1.5 kg of EquiJewel® provides low levels of starch and sugar while maintaining high levels of performance.
- Gastric health – Re-Leve® has received the BETA seal of approval for products suitable for horses prone to equine gastric ulcer syndrome
- Tense and temperamentally nervous horses – Horses with easy excitability often react negatively when consuming high levels of starch. When fed a low-starch diet, horses can become more focused and less excitable.
