Product Description
Saracen‘s Alfalfa Chaff is a 100% natural high-fiber forage with no added straw, suitable for horses and ponies in medium activity and intense training. It is composed of alfalfa grown in England, not genetically modified, with a light coating of molasses and rapeseed oil. The Forage is de-dusted and dried at high temperature, making this product suitable even for horses and ponies with respiratory problems.
Saracen Alfalfa Chaff contains no preservatives, dyes or additives.
English alfalfa provides good quality nutrients, is low in sugar and starches, and provides natural antioxidants. Alfalfa is also rich in calcium, which supports bone development and hoof quality and provides a natural acid buffer for gastric health.
The quality protein contained in English alfalfa provides support for physical fitness without exaggerating excitability.
Feeding this forage increases chewing time and subsequent salivation; this promotes digestive health.
