The formulation of RE-LEVE MIX is based on intensive research by Dr. Stephanie Valberg, University of Minnesota, and Kentucky Equine Research(KER) – Huntington PJ, Duren S, Valberg S, 2000. This feed is designed to provide the athlete horse with the energy levels required for performance and to maintain physical condition, using a high variety of alternative energy sources to grain. Studies cited above have shown that horses predisposed to tying-up fed a diet with good levels of oils and fats but low shares of starches and grains are less affected by post-activity issues such as muscle injury.
RE-LEVE MIX contains BMC* (Buffered Mineral Complex), a highly bioavailable source of vitamins and minerals essential for healthy skeletal development and gastro-intestinal balance. Studies conducted at Kentucky Equine Research (KER) have shown that BMC* significantly increases natural bone density in high-performance horses. It also supports gastro-intestinal health as it buffers excess acid in the stomach and posterior intestines.
